Recorded in Paris during fall - winter 2008, with the advised help of Cyril Guillanneuf who added some fine tuning, Hesitation blues is Acetate Zero driving its way between more tight pop lines, forgotten landscapes and shining desperate losses of separations. Popidiot is Estonian-Finnish electropop group of two mad scientists Matti Peura and Hendrik Luuk, who have wrote all the songs on the record and made all the arrangements with the guitarist Rein Fuks, who is the important third member. There hasn't been made such a record before in Estonia. It's a nice dance music album, greatly produced and with cool lyrics. It's full of great songs, all killers, no fillers. Name your favorite synthpop, electropop or indiepop sounds and you find it here. Popidiot's sound is heavily influenced by synthpop classics like New Order, Human League or Depeche Mode.

Taking their name from the best page of Dr. Suess's ABCs book, and starting out 5 years ago as eye-lined, black-haired kids playing shoegaze, The Vera Violets burst from the rabbit hole once again wearing the cloak of shoegaze with their latest collection of fuzzed-out, echo-droned songs. Like the 1st wave of shoegazers, Evervess have taken the songs of The Beatles and The Byrds, pushed them through a jet engine and arrived at a chiming, driving, tsunami of sound all built around well-crafted songs. With labelmates, Dreamtiger, they are at the forefront of a Southern California renaissance of gauzy, saturated, bliss.

Sad Day For Puppets is a young flower with many roots, they were formed in 2006 in Blackeberg, a suburb to Stockholm (Sweden), by Martin Källholm, guitarist and songwriter. The natural focal point of the band is singer Anna Eklund, who with her dream-like voice and the harmony vocals of her sister Annika mesmerizes the audience. Most of the bands influences can be traced back to the early nineties, when they all were teenagers. This period has made it's mark on the band. The guitars are once again allowed to roam free and shine. The music is all about shimmering layers of guitars, intertwined feedback melodies all dreamy and grand and sad, and ethereal harmony vocals.

Dream Rockers "a shoreline dream" have been locked away in their barn studio for the past year putting together their second full length opus entitled "recollections of memory", a freight train disc full of expansive guitars and mountains of vocal harmonies. ULRICH SCHNAUSS joins with them on three of the tracks, including a unique live version of the 2007 collaboration entitled "neverChanger". KRAMER (Low/Galaxie 500/Urge Overkill) put the final touches on the mix of this highly anticipated release.

Hailing from the beach side city of San Francisco, the Botticellis combine pop-based song craft with dreamy guitars, analog production techniques and a nostalgic love for surfing. Founders Zack Ehrlich and Alexi Glickman were raised in Southern California, where they launched a songwriting partnership in elementary school and often visited Venice Beach to surf. They took a liking to the area's steady stream of hollow, chest-high waves, nicknaming them botticellis (Italian for 'little barrels') and absorbing the beach's sunny surf culture. Several years later, Ehrlich and Glickman crossed paths with lo-fi producer Burton Li, who joined the band, and the three musicians moved north to San Francisco. The new lineup continued to swell in the Botticellis' new environment, with lyricist Blythe Foster and bassist Ian Nansen climbing aboard. Now sporting a cinematic, sun-drenched sound, the quintet retreated to San Francisco's Outer Richmond district to live together and work on a debut album. Four years later, 'Old Home Movies' has arrived.

Aboa Sleeping, Burning Hearts' debut album, might be greeted as a marriage of the best elements of both members' other bands, but this is truly a matter of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Full of subtle detail and a uniformly warm sound, this is a dream of idealized pop: beautifully understated vocals, melodies as reassuring as a lover's embrace, and a tone of intimacy that could only come from collaboration that is fully simpatico. Mpls ltd kicks off 2009 with their first reissue; a stunning combination of hip vocal jazz, bossa nova, and sunshine pop from Bobbi Boyle and the trio. Bobbi Boyle had a standing engagement at the Encino Smoke House Lounge in California from 1965 to 1970, and she released the "A Day in The Life" LP on her own Encino Records label in 1967 to sell at her performances there. Reissued under license from Bobbi herself, this CD also features the bonus tracks "Sad Old World" and "Everybody's Talkin'" from a 1969 7" single.

Recorded in late November 2007, BRAIN is a compilation of little vignettes and roughly defined ideas. These five vignettes were recorded more or less, into two microphones, live in Luke's Brooklyn apartment. The same apartment he recorded his 2007 release, Snowbeast, released on Mill Pond Records. This Collectors Edition 7-inch is one of six titles, limited to only 500 hand numbered copies each, has been pressed on heavy one of a kind 70-gram, colored vinyl, housed in a matte-finished deluxe gate-fold jacket. East London band Deep Cut debut album 'My Thoughts Light Fires'. Last year's excellent 'Commodity' single turned a few heads, and since then 'Time To Kill' was released as a single and spent six weeks on the NME Radio A-list. Deep Cut is vocalist Emma Bailey, guitarist Mat Flint and bassist Simon Flint, guitarist Pad Bailey and drummer by Ian Button. Mat Flint was founder member of early 90's Virgin/Hut band Revolver, and has played bass in Death In Vegas for ten years. Mat was also resident DJ at Heavenly Social for four years.
